Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy

There is little doubt that advice must be all encompassing and holistic if it is to truly protect our clients long-term interests

Today, few individuals can view their tax planning in isolation from their personal circumstances. For example, there is little point in creating a low tax corporate structure if upon distribution a detrimental tax event is created. It is for such reasons that SCF tax planning experts take a holistic approach to their clients, considering not only business tax mitigation but the long-term aims and needs of clients and their families. For example, to facilitate the need to reduce personal, corporate capital gains and inheritance taxes together with the increasing need for general asset/ wealth protection SCF has a wide range of weapons at its disposal including private interest foundations (PIF’s), trusts, international tax treaties, domestic tax benefits (such as the UK and Ireland’s distinction between domicile and residence) EU directives/regulations and much more.

Professionally Qualified Staff

SCF has a wide range of professionally qualified staff encompassing certified accountants, chartered accountants and specialist international tax lawyers based both in and outside of the United Kingdom. In fact, it is our belief that SCF is uniquely positioned to provide a full range of domestic and international accountancy, legal and tax planning services perhaps not available outside of the largest accountancy firms but at a fraction of the cost. We also believe that being smaller gives us a more personalised relationship with clients and probably explains why we still have so many of our original clients still with us after more than 20 years in business.
